Job Title: Advanced Pharmacist

We are seeking an experienced and innovative specialist pharmacist to join our critical care team at Northwick Park Hospital. This is a fixed-term maternity leave cover opportunity that offers a unique chance to work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to critically ill patients
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical services and guidelines using research findings
  • Participate in 7-day working on weekends and bank holidays pro-rata
Person Specification:Education and Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm)
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent
  • Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Excellent knowledge and practice of clinical pharmacy in the acute care setting
  • Minimum of four years post-registration experience relevant to Hospital Pharmacy with assessed competencies or equivalent qualifications and experience in critical care
  • Experience in providing a clinical pharmacy service to critically ill patients
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills. Confident and assertive when working with other professionals with the ability to work quickly, calmly and accurately under pressure
  • Word processing/spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to construct and conduct audits alone and supervise others
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage change and influence senior pharmacy, medical, management and multidisciplinary staff
  • Critical appraisal skills
