About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Senior Development Manager to join our team at Barratt Developments plc. As a key member of our construction management team, you will play a vital role in overseeing the development of new projects across the UK.

Job Description

Your primary responsibility will be to manage the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes:

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, NHBC standards, building regulations, and overall quality standards.
  • Briefing contractors and tradespeople on project requirements and site procedures.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinating with the Contracts Manager to ensure smooth project delivery and addressing any concerns or discrepancies.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports, including site diaries, progress charts, and defect logs.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Chartered Institute of Builders membership or NVQ level 5 in Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legislative requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
