About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer to join our team at Peacocks. As a key member of our merchandising team, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our business by sourcing, developing, and delivering high-quality products that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a buying strategy that aligns with our brand's vision and customer preferences.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate optimal product prices, terms, and contracts.
  • Analyze sales data to identify top-performing products and inform future purchasing decisions.
  • Work closely with the merchandising team to optimize stock levels and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members to ensure their success in their roles.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a fashion retail buying role with a commercial mindset.
  • Strong understanding of current fashion trends and market knowledge.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Numerate with strong analytical skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
