About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Fashion Buyer to join our team at Peacocks. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a crucial role in driving the business forward by sourcing, developing, and delivering high-quality products that meet our brand's standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a buying strategy that aligns with our brand's vision and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate optimal product, prices, and terms of contract.
  • Work closely with the merchandising team to optimize stock levels within budget guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior team members.
  • Lead meetings with Director/Head of level to ensure effective communication and action plans are implemented.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Fashion retail Buying role with a commercial mindset.
  • In-depth understanding of current Fashion trends and market knowledge.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Numerate with strong analytical skills.
  • Organized and detailed-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and experience with buying systems.
