About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer to join our team at Peacocks. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and delivering a specific range of products that meet our brand and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a buying strategy that aligns with our brand and customer needs
  • Source and select suppliers to obtain optimum products, prices, and terms of contract
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to optimize stock levels within budget guidelines
  • Provide effective guidance and training to junior team members
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure the successful launch of new product lines and seasonal collections
Requirements
  • Experience in a fashion retail buying role with a commercial mindset
  • In-depth understanding of current fashion trends and market knowledge
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers
  • Numerate with strong analytical skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
