About the Role

As a Sales Development Specialist at Ansys, you will be responsible for growing business with existing customer accounts and exploring new markets. You will work in a team that is highly supported with a strong emphasis on training, coaching and mentoring from experienced managers & colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently. They will also have demonstrated understanding of engineering analysis and technology.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to further hone and develop their software sales skills working for a market leader with a predicted annual revenue growth of 12%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and/or prospective customers.
  • Deploy Ansys' well defined customer engagement process to uncover customer's pain points.
  • Clearly presents the value of company's products/services through metrics and proof points.
  • Engages with customers and prospects via telephone, video conference, email and LinkedIn.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations.
  • Provides accurate forecasts for new sales and renewal revenues.
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions; schedules training and seminars to enhance new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical, engineering, business or related field with 1+ years of experience in technical, business or sales positions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering analysis and technology.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Travel: up to 50%. Emphasis on office-based working when not at customer site.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (dependent on location)
