Audit Scotland is looking for a seasoned Public Sector Assurance Manager to join our team. As an experienced auditor, you will be responsible for leading audit teams and making complex audit judgements over a varied audit portfolio.

The role offers an estimated salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, and provides opportunities to work with a diverse range of clients, including central government, local government, NHS bodies, and further education colleges.

You will have the chance to contribute to the leadership of Audit Scotland and participate in corporate activities that shape the organisation's direction. Your expertise will help drive the development of Audit Scotland's audit services and ensure we continue to provide high-quality assurance to our clients.

About the Role
  • Leading multiple audit teams to deliver complex audit judgements.
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the key issues and risks facing clients.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders across the portfolio.
Your Qualifications and Experience
  • A qualified accountant (CIPFA, ICAS, other CCAB, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience of managing high-quality external audits in the public sector.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and sound judgement skills.
