Autism Support Teaching Assistant Position

Location: England, Greater London, Mitcham

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Estimated Salary: £62,000 - £84,000 Per annum (equivalent to £600 - £800 per week)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Autism Support Teaching Assistant to join our team in Mitcham, Greater London. As an integral part of the education and training industry, you will be responsible for providing support to students with autism in the classroom setting.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths, experience working with individuals with autism, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with autism in the classroom
  • Assisting teachers in implementing individualised education plans
  • Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure student progress

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Experience in a similar role within the education sector

This role involves working in a classroom environment, collaborating with teachers and other support staff. The work is full-time, temporary, and based in Mitcham, Greater London.
