Job Overview

We are seeking an Autism Education Consultant to join our team at ClassRoom Support.

About the Role

The successful candidate will develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with autism, tailored to their specific needs and learning styles. They will provide one-on-one support to students, assisting with academic, social, and emotional development, and collaborate with teaching staff and parents/guardians to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with autism.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, assisting with academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and parents/guardians to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Create and facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators and families to enhance understanding and support for students with autism.
  • Track student progress and provide regular feedback to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience working with individuals with autism in an educational setting.
  • A strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and best practices for supporting individuals with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students and their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to address the holistic needs of students.
  • Relevant certifications and/or training in special education or autism support services.
