Job Title: Compliance Services Representative

Sovos Compliance is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Compliance Services team, you will be responsible for accurately validating complex client data and preparing IPT filings for submission while ensuring all internal and statutory deadlines are met for your assigned portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Validate complex client data using in-house software and confirm tax amounts due to clients
  • Create accurate IPT returns and associated supporting documentation for clients
  • Ensure all data is accurate and returns submitted within strict deadlines
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve client compliance and other issues
  • Interact directly with Sovos clients on a regular basis as part of service delivery and issue resolution
  • Provide assistance to Compliance Services Associates in building domain expertise and resolving client issues
  • Ensure compliance with applicable revenue authorities and client-specified procedures by adhering to internal policies and procedures
  • Identify process improvements and offer suggestions to build internal efficiencies and reduce risk
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience
  • 1+ years of client service-related work experience
  • Able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a confident telephone manner
  • Utilize technology (e.g. phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfill work requirements
