This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Consultant Paediatrician at Queens Hospital, Burton on Trent. As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality paediatric services and contribute to shaping the future of paediatric care.

You will be responsible for the continuing care and treatment of patients, as well as personal performance of clinical duties as agreed in your job plan.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert opinion and taking full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients across the wide spectrum of paediatric disorders.
  • Experience of and commitment to teaching undergraduates and postgraduates.
  • Experience of supervising F1, F2, ST trainees.
  • Ability to and experience of teaching clinical skills.

Requirements include:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • Possession of MRCPCH Postgraduate Qualification or equivalent.
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice at time of application.
  • GMC Specialist Registration in Paediatrics OR within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at time of interview OR equivalent.
  • Additional higher medical/scientific degree relevant to the specialty.

Salary: £99,532 to £131,964 a year pro rata per annum including on-call commitments.
