Senior Tendering Manager

As a key member of the LEF Welding and Fabrication team, the Tendering Manager will play a pivotal role in driving business development efforts. This role involves managing the tendering process from inception to completion, ensuring that all proposals are thorough, competitive, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Tender Preparation and Submission: Oversee the preparation and submission of high-quality, competitive tenders and proposals that meet client requirements and company standards.
- Tender Analysis and Risk Management: Analyze tender documents to identify key requirements and risks, ensuring that the company's proposals are well-informed and effective.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and finance, to gather necessary information and compile comprehensive tender packages.
- Cost and Price Database Management: Develop and maintain a database of costs and prices for standard materials and services, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all tender requirements and company policies, maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity.
- Tender Performance Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the performance of submitted tenders, providing feedback for continuous improvement and growth.
- Client and Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders, fostering trust and cooperation.
- Industry Trends and Market Analysis: Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, ensuring that the company remains competitive and innovative.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tendering or bid management role, preferably within the welding and fabrication industry.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of tendering processes, commercial terms, and contractual agreements, combined with excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail and analytical ability.
