GlobeCommerce is seeking a highly experienced professional to drive the growth and expansion of our global seller base.


About the Role


This is a key leadership position responsible for developing and executing a strategic category thesis that aligns with GlobeCommerce's broader business objectives.


Responsibilities


• Develop a strategic, data-driven category thesis that aligns with GlobeCommerce's broader business objectives.
• Identify key regions and markets for sourcing, utilizing your network to bring in high-quality international brands.
• Lead negotiations and structure partnerships that are mutually beneficial, ensuring a smooth handover to the merchandising team.
• Spearhead initiatives to expand GlobeCommerce's seller base internationally (outside of the U.S. and Canada), positioning us to meet the evolving needs of our major retail partners.
• Build strong, genuine relationships with potential brand partners, guiding them through the discovery and evaluation process.
• Take a hands-on approach to source and acquire high-caliber new sellers using various channels and techniques including LinkedIn, cold outreach, trade shows, and introductions.


Requirements


• Strong experience in management consulting, export manager, business development, international sales, strategic partnerships, vendor sourcing, or seller acquisition.
• Proven ability to execute global acquisition strategies and scale businesses, ideally in fast-growing companies or start-up environments.
• Strong international background with expertise in building genuine relationships across diverse markets and cultures.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
• A hands-on approach, willing to get into the details while also contributing to the long-term strategic direction.
• Experience in markets such as APAC, or LATAM is highly valued.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Ability to work remotely with at least 4 hours of overlap with U.S. EST.
