About the Role

The Engineering Shift Compliance Lead will be responsible for ensuring that all legal, planned, scheduled, reactive, and proactive works are carried out in full and in compliance with all relevant safety, food safety, and legal requirements.

This role will involve identifying, supervising, reviewing, and escalating site Health and Safety, Food Safety, and audit standards with direct reports to operational shift managers.

The successful candidate will prioritize Food Safety, Health and Safety issues, Plant availability, and support the technical and operations team on audit, retail, and food safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Health, Safety, and Environment improvement initiatives and actions
  • Coordinate the shift engineering resource to ensure plan conformance is achieved
  • Organize planned work and coordinate reactive works and plant availability prioritization
  • Coach and engage shift engineers and manufacturing technicians to ensure they perform to an acceptable standard and operate in accordance with site systems and policies
  • Identify, organize, and supervise reactive contractors and contracted service requirements where necessary
  • Ensure that engineering reporting systems are completed in full, including SAP notifications and shift activity reports
About You

We are looking for a proven leader with a passion for Engineering in a Food Manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HNC or equivalent in an appropriate Mechanical or Electrical discipline
  • Lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  • Advanced Food Hygiene and HACCP
  • Leading a team, proven management style focused on coaching and mentoring
