We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Lead to join our team at Aecon Concessions. As a key member of our Scarborough Transit Connect project, you will be responsible for leading the procurement function and ensuring the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and plans to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement.
- Procurement Process Management
- Develop and maintain core procurement processes for the Procurement functional group.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor and report on procurement activities and performance metrics.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize procurement processes.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline.
- Experience
- 15+ years' experience leading a progressive procurement function in a major project-based construction environment.
- Experience in construction is preferred, with a focus on transit projects.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Proven success driving a top-tier strategic procurement philosophy within an organization.
- Experience with and understanding of implementation complexities within a large, diverse operating structure.
- Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.
