Senior Artist Manager

Job Summary:
KD SCHMID is seeking an experienced Senior Artist Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the development and management of a roster of high-calibre artists. Your expertise will be essential in creating and implementing individual artist strategies, negotiating contracts, and building relationships with event organisers and orchestras nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management and development of a roster of high-calibre artists for general and local management.
- Responsibility for sales and booking engagements, as well as creating and implementing individual artist strategies.
- Continuous enhancement of the KD-SCHMID roster in both existing and expanding areas of business.
- Coordinating and maintaining partnerships with event organisers and orchestras nationally and internationally.
- Independent negotiation and conclusion of contracts with event organisers.
- National and international travel to concerts, conferences, and business meetings.
- Collaborating with a team of international Artist Coordinators and Managers with a focus on leading and developing the team of Junior Managers through sharing your experience and expertise.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in artist management.
- Proven ability to develop the careers of high-level artists with empathy, understanding, and bespoke strategies.
- Experience signing new artists.
- Broad network within the music and events scene both in and outside of Europe; knowledge of the international chamber music market would be an advantage.
- Very good knowledge of classical music repertoire.
- Independent and goal-oriented work as well as the ability to work in a team, adaptability, and bring a proactive approach.
- Exceptional communication skills as well as a professional and confident attitude.
- Fluent German and English skills are necessary for the Berlin office; fluent English skills are required for the London office, and knowledge of German is an advantage but not essential.
- Willingness to travel.
