Join Our Team as a Visitor Services Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our Visitor Services team at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. As a Visitor Services Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional visitor experiences and ensuring the safety and security of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visitor Welcome and Engagement: Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors, actively engaging with them to enhance their appreciation and understanding of the Royal Collection and the historic Palaces.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Draw on your knowledge of the Royal Collection, the Palaces, and the local area to share fascinating insights and adapt your delivery to suit each visitor's interests.
  • Exhibit Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of both visitors and exhibits, maintaining the highest standards of presentation throughout the Palace and galleries.
  • Event Support: Assist with the daily preparation of visitor routes, ensuring all areas are immaculate, and report any maintenance or cleaning issues to ensure they are swiftly resolved.
  • Special Events: Support special events, press visits, and receptions, helping with hospitality and ensuring smooth operations for a wide range of activities.
