About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Guest Service Ambassador to join our remarkable team at St James Quarter, one of our flagship sites in the heart of Edinburgh.

The Customer Service Ambassador role is to provide the highest level of customer care, while providing a 5-Star front of house service and maintaining a subtle, yet visible security presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a 5-star guest experience at all times
  • Be proactive and greet clients and visitors where possible, showcasing a customer-focused approach
  • Carry out regular patrols as and when required, ensuring a safe and secure environment
  • Anticipate and action client requirements/requests in a professional manner, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Provide a consistently professional service, adhering to high standards of customer service delivery
  • Issue visitor passes using the agreed sign in and out policies and procedures
  • Ensure all fire exits are kept clear, reporting any Health & Safety issues
  • Create a safe environment for all guests and visitors, utilizing ability and foresight
  • Maintain a high-security awareness at all times, interacting with CCTV as required
  • Complete a full detailed handover at the end of each shift
Person Specification
  • Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team player
  • Possesses a true passion for high standards of customer service delivery
  • Ability to provide a 5-star guest experience, with previous experience in hospitality or a customer service facing role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels
  • Immaculate presentation, with the ability to work independently with confidence
  • Confidence and common sense to access and utilize expert resources when making decisions
  • Maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality
  • Acute sense of security awareness, with a valid SIA license essential
  • 5 years of verifiable work history, with First Aid training an advantage
