About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students with complex needs in a SEND setting.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to provide individualised support, promote positive behaviour, and foster strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement individualised support plans to help students with PMLD / ASD manage their emotions and develop coping mechanisms.
  2. Nurture positive relationships with students, creating a safe and inclusive environment where they feel valued and supported.
  3. Work collaboratively with professionals to implement behaviour plans, track progress, and provide holistic support to students.
Requirements
  • Desirable but not essential: previous experience working with students with PMLD / ASD or other SEN.
  • Patient, resilient, and calm, with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and their support network.
  • Advantageous but not essential: relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support.

The estimated hourly rate for this role is £25-£35, depending on experience.
