We offer an attractive salary package, estimated at £70,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective commercial management and governance of SEA projects, bids, and all commercial offerings for the business area. You will work closely with Divisional Management, Bid and Project Managers to ensure that commercial agreements are secured that minimize risk, maximize financial outturn, and optimize wider commercial opportunities. As the primary point of contact with Customers and Subcontractors, you will negotiate and agree contracts and other relevant commercial documents, while maintaining appropriate document registers. You will also provide input into divisional budget and forecast processes and participate in divisional management meetings. Additionally, you will assess divisional commercial risks and develop plans to reduce risk and increase yield. Your expertise in contract law, negotiation skills, and knowledge of pricing, terms, and conditions will be essential in this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced commercial professional with a strong background in government procurement, contract law, and negotiation. A qualified degree in law or a related field is essential, as is previous experience working within the MOD, Defence, or Aerospace industry. You should have expert knowledge of methods of contracting and T&Cs, as well as knowledge of customer through-life support. Strong written, communication, and analytical skills are also required, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong business relationships with a wide range of Company and customer personnel. Proven ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure is essential, as is previous line management experience.
