About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in Secondary Breast Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients diagnosed with secondary breast cancer and their relatives and carers.

Main Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary teams within the breast unit and the oncology unit across the Trust.

• Facilitate the development of the secondary breast cancer pathway.

• Provide an interface between patients/carers and the multi-disciplinary team, developing nursing practices and identifying opportunities to improve quality of patient care.

• Co-ordinate and support clinics and prioritise all referrals from MDT.

Requirements

• NMC registration

• First level degree, or equivalent qualification

• Evidence of continuing professional development

• Relevant clinical experience in Breast Cancer and/or Oncology

• Demonstrates knowledge of policies, practices and procedures NHS national policies, standards requirements and directions that relate to patient care

• Demonstrates knowledge of personalised care
