About the Role

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a strong background in clinical governance and quality improvement. The successful candidate will lead and support the implementation of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives across multiple care homes, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained and continuously improved.

The Peripatetic Clinical Development Nurse will work closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists, and senior clinical staff to identify areas for improvement and develop practical strategies to address these issues. This will involve reviewing clinical governance databases and KPIs, analyzing results, and implementing key actions to ensure all regulations are met and care is continuously improved.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a care home environment, be a confident clinical mentor, and have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements. They will also be able to travel regularly and work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the implementation of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives across multiple care homes
  • Review clinical governance databases and KPIs, analyze results, and implement key actions to ensure all regulations are met and care is continuously improved

  • Travel regularly to support care homes and implement quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration
  • Strong background in clinical governance and quality improvement
  • Experience working in a care home environment
  • Confident clinical mentor with a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements
  • Ability to travel regularly and work independently
