Education Assistant Role
We are seeking a reliable and supportive individual to join our specialist provision as an Education Assistant.
The role is term-time only, working 40 hours per week, with an estimated £21,387.79 annual salary, based on an hourly rate of £11.72 - £12.78.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs an Education Assistant, you will be essential to the support and development of students aged 16-25 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a broad and balanced curriculum for students both on and off site.
- Building professional relationships with students, prioritising their health, safety, and overall development.
- Working one-to-one with students when required or supporting in-class work with small groups.
- Maintaining positive behaviour management.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
- A Level 2 qualification in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Experience or knowledge of working within an education setting.
- Positive and creative approaches to meeting young people's needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Competent ICT skills.
