About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Manager to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our surgical ward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the needs of patients
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
  • Manage resources and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid registration
  • Experience in a surgical ward setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
