Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 7 Ward Manager to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the nursing team on Ward F9, a 20-bedded elective surgical ward, and the surgical admissions lounge.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team on Ward F9 and the surgical admissions lounge
  • Develop and implement clinical standards and professional practice within the service
  • Manage and coordinate staff, budget, and resources
  • Collaborate with the Matron and Lead to shape future services

Person Specification
  • Substantial experience at Band 6 Grade in an acute hospital setting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience of change management
  • Registered Practitioner on the relevant part of the professional register (RGN)
