Clinical Nursing Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our small Orthogeriatric team at Glangwili General Hospital.
Main Duties:- Work as an advanced, autonomous practitioner providing patient-centred clinical care, encompassing the skills of assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
- Deliver advanced practice which is evidence-based within the service.
- Assess, diagnose, treat/manage, evaluate, refer and discharge patients.
- Assess and manage risk.
- Demonstrate ethical decision making.
- Carry out non-medical prescribing in line with legislation.
- Involve Patient/service user/Public involvement in the development of service and role.
- Manage complexity, use critical thinking and analytical skills to underpin sound judgement, and ethical decision making.
- Provide training, presentations, and information to a range of groups comprising staff, senior staff, and colleagues from partner organisations.
- Develop policies, protocols, and guidelines using sound evidence base.
- Extensive previous experience of working within specialty.
- Experience in complex decision making.
- Leadership and management experience.
- Significant experience where a degree of autonomous working has been required.
- Experience of multi-professional working.
The successful candidate will be expected to work as a highly skilled senior practitioner and to have expert knowledge. The post holder will be guided by health, organisational, or broad occupational policies, but in most situations, the post holder will need to establish the way in which these should be interpreted and advise relevant stakeholders accordingly.
The post holder will be expected to work at an advanced clinical level within their level of competence and to work flexibly as part of the team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
