We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist Oncology Lead to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our oncology team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance to the oncology CNS team, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Manage mixed clinician SACT toxicity clinics, including virtual clinics, and work closely with oncologists and pharmacy colleagues.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with oncology colleagues, cancer pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of oncology services and policies, ensuring alignment with national guidelines and best practices.
- Provide education and training to staff on oncology-related topics, promoting knowledge and skills development.
- Registered Nurse with a Master's degree in Oncology or a related field.
- Experience in cancer nursing, with a strong understanding of oncology principles and practices.
- Non-Medical Prescribing qualification and experience.
- Accredited chemotherapy course and IR(ME)R qualification desirable.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience in managing a team and making complex decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to speak Welsh desirable, with a commitment to bilingualism and promoting patient-centered care.
