Job Title: Clinical Nursing Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our small Orthogeriatric team at Glangwili General Hospital.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage an independent caseload of inpatients who have sustained fragility fractures, including hip fractures.
  • Work alongside the Orthogeriatrician to provide holistic care of patients, including supporting the management of bone health.
  • Support the management of the Hip Fracture Database, including reviewing and validating data, presenting data, and leading quality improvement work.
  • Exercise a high degree of personal professional autonomy and make critical judgments to satisfy the expectations and demands of the role.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive previous experience of working within the specialty.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Significant experience where a degree of autonomous working has been required.
  • Experience of multi-professional working.
  • Registered Health Care Professional (e.g. HCPC/NMC).
  • Relevant Masters Degree/180 credits at level 7 (Masters) in a relevant area.
  • Non-Medical Prescriber, or willingness to commit to undertake in line with future service development.
Working Environment:

The post holder will be expected to work at an advanced clinical level within their level of competence and to work flexibly as part of the team.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent leadership and management skills, and the ability to work autonomously.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
