We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at Morlais Ward, Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for the assessment, care planning, and implementation of programs for patients with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care without supervision.
- Supervise and appraise staff nurses, and provide clinical leadership on the unit in support of the Ward Manager.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical skills, knowledge, and best practices in mental health nursing.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote patient safety and well-being.
- Postgraduate diploma-level training and experience in mental health nursing.
- Specialist knowledge in clinical skills, health and safety, and clinical supervision.
- Experience working with patients with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviors.
- Ability to work safely and maintain high standards in the workplace.
- Knowledge of local area and facilities that patients may access.
