Join our team as a Supply Chain Director and lead the development and implementation of a procurement strategy that drives business growth and efficiency.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to shape the global purchasing function and manage a team of professionals to support a growing aerospace manufacturing facility. As a Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing a global Supply Chain service that is commercially focused and effective in driving business forward.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a procurement strategy that meets the needs of the business, both now and in the future.
- Lead and manage a global Supply Chain team to ensure effective and efficient supply chain operations.
- Work closely with external stakeholders, including suppliers and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and risk management.
- Develop and implement Supply Chain policy, processes, and procedures to ensure good practice and efficient workflows.
- Provide guidance and oversight for international and local import procedures and processes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Significant experience in leading and managing a global supply chain team function, supporting a growth-focused manufacturing business.
- Previous experience on an Executive Team/Board level leadership team, with the ability to contribute meaningfully to strategic business discussions.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to coach, nurture, and develop talent.
- Sound knowledge of legal frameworks, particularly contract law, and comfortable with contract negotiations.
- Experience of international logistics, including global import/export practices.
