- Commercial Opportunities: Identify and exploit commercial opportunities through skilled negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Compliance and Contract Management: Ensure compliance with procurement processes and legal requirements, and manage contracts for indirect expenditure.
- Strategic Relationships: Develop strategic relationships with suppliers to drive business growth and improve our sustainability journey.
- Market Research and Benchmarking: Regularly review and benchmark the global market and existing suppliers to ensure we are competitive.
- Supply Chain Projects: Lead cross-functional supply chain projects to drive business improvement and innovation.
- Reporting and Analysis: Report monthly on supply chain activities and KPIs to inform business decisions.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a Buyer or Procurement Manager role within the UK food industry.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and decision-making skills, strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills, resilient with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Education: Ideally CIPS qualification or ambition to study towards it, good understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
- Personal Attributes: Excellent team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, good project management skills, a 'can do' attitude with a strong desire to meet strict targets and deadlines, effective communication skills at all levels.
