Job Title: Project Manager

Join Schneider Electric, a leading global company in energy management and automation, as a Project Manager. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the execution of key customer projects in the UK, ensuring successful delivery, customer satisfaction, safety compliance, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute large-scale customer projects, either fully or as part of a wider project team, and work effectively across multiple business units.
  • Build and maintain client relationships onsite, advocate for the customer within Schneider Electric, and continuously monitor customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the project team throughout the project lifecycle, including task planning, monitoring progress, and delivering results.
  • Identify and mitigate execution risks, lead and resolve associated issues, and effectively manage claims and variation orders.
  • Ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders and within the project team and Ireland organization.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the customer and maintain project team interaction to ensure consistent execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Take full accountability for project profitability, including forecasting, engagement follow-up, and re-forecasting, ensuring timely revenue recognition.
  • Monitor and control project progress versus budget spending and strive for gross margin improvement.
  • Manage project contracts, ensuring fulfillment of Schneider Electric contractual obligations and application of its contractual rights.
  • Systematically review deviations against specifications or additional customer requests to generate additional revenue.
  • Ensure timely recovery of customer receivables with the support of shared functions.
  • Provide full and effective reporting to management and timely surfacing of project events impacting project performance or compliance with governance or safety principles.
  • Implement Schneider Electric safety standards throughout project execution and ensure compliance with all parties.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions with internal teams, including Tendering, Sales, Operations, and the project team.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline (Engineering and/or Business) or equivalent experience.
  • Project management experience in the Energy Management or Construction space, with a focus on data center projects.
  • Experience in UPS and cooling time projects.
  • Proficient in project management software tools (MS Excel, MS Project).
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a must; an additional language is valuable.
