Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Academic Manager to join our team at Project People. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with the developer community across the UK and Europe, with a focus on university students, to drive interest and adoption of our programming language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and participate in events, such as hackathons, coding bootcamps, workshops, and meetups, both on-campus and online, to foster a sense of community and provide hands-on experience with the language.
- Build and maintain relationships with university faculties, student organizations, and other academic partners to integrate the programming language into curricula and extracurricular activities.
- Develop and distribute high-quality content, including tutorials, blog posts, videos, and documentation, that educates and inspires developers and students to use the programming language.
- Act as the voice of the developer and student communities within the company, providing feedback to the product and engineering teams to influence the language.
- Present at conferences, university events, and industry meetups to advocate for the programming language and showcase its capabilities.
- Work closely with the headquarters and regional teams to align promotional activities with global strategies and adapt them to local needs.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive academic background in Computer Science or relevant subjects.
- Experience in developer relations, community management, or advocacy roles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of programming languages, software development practices, and computing technologies.
- Ability to travel to Europe and worldwide.
- Mandarin speaking strongly preferred.
