About the Role

The Open University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Staff Member to join our team in the School of Health, Wellbeing and Social Care. As a Staff Tutor, you will play a vital role in the provision of our supported open learning model of education, contributing to the presentation of modules and qualifications, and engaging in research and scholarship that aligns with our strategic priorities.

You will represent The Open University on national and local strategic groups, providing academic leadership and line managing Module Tutors and Practice Tutors who support our students. This role also involves working in partnership with employers to support recruitment and selection to professional programmes, as well as the operational management of practice learning.

We are looking for an individual with relevant qualifications and experience who can demonstrate a strong understanding of our academic model and the ability to work effectively in a team. The successful candidate will be based in Edinburgh and may be required to travel across Scotland and occasionally to Milton Keynes and other parts of the UK.

As a member of our team, you will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check or equivalent for your nation of residency.
