Learning Support Assistant in Lincolnshire SEN School

GSL Education is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work in one of our client SEN schools in Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs and mental health concerns. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement strategies outlined in education, health, and care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support to students with mental health needs, helping them manage emotions and develop coping strategies.
- Offer immediate support and assistance in situations where students experience mental health crises or emotional distress.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Secondary SEN school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing academic or behavioural challenges.
The salary for this role is £60-90 per day, depending on experience. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
