At NXT Recruitment LTD, we are seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician to join our team in Carlisle.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £42,000 per annum, with the potential for earnings over £50,000 per year. In addition to this, we offer overtime rates at 1.5x or 2x basic rate, on-call allowance, life insurance, and training and development support.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings based on a rota. The role involves carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs, servicing, and maintaining vehicles including HGVs, LGVs, and trailers.

  • Maintain a wide range of vehicles to a high standard.
  • Carry out diagnostics and ensure vehicles are repaired in compliance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers daily.
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified individual with relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering, although this is not essential. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, as well as strong problem-solving skills. A UK driving licence is essential, with a Class 1 or Class 2 licence being preferable.
