**About the Role:** We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Technician and Maintenance Expert to join our client's team in Carlisle. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the fleet by carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs, servicing, and maintenance.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular servicing, mechanical and electrical repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep the fleet running efficiently
  • Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot issues to ensure vehicles are repaired in compliance with company and legislative requirements
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve any issues promptly
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle technology, DVSA inspection standards, changes in MOT legislation, and working practices

**What You'll Need:

  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering (advantageous but not essential)
  • Previous experience in a similar role (preferred)
  • Excellent Communication and problem-solving skills
  • UK driving licence (essential)
  • Class 1 or Class 2 licence (preferable)

The estimated salary for this role is around £42,000 per annum, with potential earnings over £50,000 per annum. The working hours will be 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, working days.
