About this role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering and Facilities team at Evotec WD. In this position, you will be responsible for executing Planned Preventative Maintenance and liaising with external contractors.

Salary:

The salary for this role is approximately £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of engineering plant through regular maintenance checks.
  • Liaise with external contractors to maintain equipment and facilities.
  • Support the team in carrying out routine activities such as fire alarm testing and daily checks.
  • Action maintenance requests and manage specialist work carried out by external contractors.
  • Participate in on-call rota and work occasional weekends/hours outside normal working hours.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in general Mechanical, Utilities Maintenance in a facilities, manufacturing, chemical/laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems and energy initiatives is advantageous.
  • Strong basic computer skills and knowledge of Health and Safety practices are essential.
