Sikla UK, a leading provider of premium steel framing solutions and pipe supports, seeks a highly skilled Structural Engineer Specialist to join their well-established Engineering office in Milton Keynes.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on various projects across multiple industries. As a Structural Engineer Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, designing, and ratifying structural framing systems using Sikla steelwork, ensuring designs meet customer requirements and are fit for purpose.
You will also review engineering drawings, produce structural calculation reports, comprehensive manufacturing drawings, and 3D models, as well as manage interactions between Sikla and client engineering teams, prioritize concurrent projects, and provide ongoing technical support to other colleagues.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical, proficiency in Autodesk Suite - AutoCAD 2D / 3D, Navisworks, and experience with Structural Analysis software such as Tekla TEDDS, STAAD Pro, RSTAB.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and design structural framing systems using Sikla steelwork
- Review customer requirements to ensure designs meet specifications
- Produce detailed engineering calculations and reports
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Sikla UK offers a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a hybrid working arrangement, 25 days annual leave, onsite refreshments, private healthcare, and local gym membership.
