Manufacturing Engineer Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Manufacturing Engineer to join our innovative Snap Lab team in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop cutting-edge tools and processes that enable next-generation nanophotonics and related systems for world-leading augmented reality displays.
About the Role:- Develop novel ways of fabricating augmented reality waveguides, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Make significant contributions to new and existing automation processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams across various disciplines and global locations, involving occasional travel within the UK and abroad.
- Source new components and systems from equipment vendors and suppliers, aligning with business objectives.
- Assist in transferring and disseminating process knowledge within the company, promoting innovation and excellence.
- Demonstrated record of hands-on process development with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience building tools to develop processes to proof-of-concept level, with a strong understanding of mechanical design and industrial automation.
- Proven experience in high-volume production environments (FMCG, consumer electronics, medical devices), specifying and commissioning third-party automation equipment.
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across disciplines and team structures.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on project requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a curiosity-driven approach.
£90,000 - £113,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience, with opportunities for equity in the form of RSUs.
