About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Station Technician to join our team at Hartlepool Lifeboat Station. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our lifeboat station, including the maintenance and repair of our marine equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of volunteer crew members in the maintenance and repair of our lifeboats and equipment
  • Develop and implement quality, safety, and health procedures to ensure a positive culture within the station
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the volunteer crew and RNLI staff
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the lifeboat station, including administrative tasks and record-keeping
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a lifeboat maintenance or marine engineering role
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Knowledge of marine diesels and engineering principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
