About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Station Technician to join our team at Hartlepool Lifeboat Station. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our lifeboat station, including the maintenance and repair of our marine equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of volunteer crew members in the maintenance and repair of our lifeboats and associated equipment
  • Develop and implement quality, safety, and health procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Provide training and guidance to crew members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the lifeboat station, including administrative tasks and maintenance records
  • Act as an ambassador for the RNLI and the lifeboat station, promoting our work and values to the local community
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a similar role, with a strong background in marine engineering and maintenance
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with volunteers and staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Valid driving license and ability to respond to a pager 24/7 while on duty
