About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Station Technician to join our team at Hartlepool Lifeboat Station. As a key member of our station, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our lifeboats and equipment, while also providing leadership and guidance to our volunteer crew members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of our lifeboats and equipment, ensuring they are in top condition at all times.
  • Lead and motivate our volunteer crew members, providing training and guidance to help them develop their skills and confidence.
  • Develop and implement quality, safety, health, and environment policies and procedures, ensuring our station is a safe and healthy place to work.
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the station, including answering emails, maintaining records, and updating reports.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience as a Lifeboat Mechanic or equivalent.
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge and experience of marine diesel engines and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driving license and ability to respond to a pager 24/7 while on duty.
