Requirements:

We are looking for a Service Designer to join our team, designing and delivering innovative digital products and services for our Government and Private Sector clients. You will be a great listener and communicator, with a creative and structured approach towards understanding problems and designing inclusive experiences.

User-Centred Design:

  • You understand user-centred design activities, from big picture through to detailed interaction, visual, content, and information architecture design.
  • You can facilitate and communicate a vision of change from business and user perspectives.
  • You are experienced in mapping service experiences and defining changes to meet user and business needs.
  • You have experience in rapid prototyping to test, iterate, and validate solution designs.
  • You can produce concise artefacts like personas, journey maps, blueprints, and user stories to communicate user and business needs.
  • You are experienced in working with agile development teams and stakeholders to co-design products and services that meet user needs.
  • You can support and coach teams and stakeholders in using user-centred design and agile methodologies.
  • You advocate for high standards of usability, accessibility, and inclusivity in products and services.
  • You have a detailed understanding of working to the Government Service Standard.

Research and Analysis:

  • You know how to map and engage with different stakeholder groups.
  • You can carry out user research across internal and external user groups, utilising various research methods as appropriate.
  • You are experienced in analysing and synthesising qualitative and quantitative research data, communicating insights to stakeholders in an engaging way.
  • You can define key metrics to evaluate product impact and inform ongoing enhancements.

Communications and Productivity:

  • You have excellent verbal, written, listening, and facilitation skills, confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • You have technical literacy to understand high-level technical processes and concepts.
  • You can work within project constraints, supporting colleagues to ensure client value delivery.
  • You are keen to contribute to Solirius' internal culture, tools, processes, and growth opportunities.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, 5 days allocated development training per year, contributory pension, gym membership, and participation in annual away days and social events.
