Job Description:Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Fine Art Researcher to join our team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Research and documentation: Conduct thorough research on artworks, including provenance and attribution.
- Cataloguing and record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of artworks, clients, and loan requests.
- Writing and editing: Create high-quality entries based on specialist research, including provenance, bibliography compilation, and illustration lists.
- Administrative support: Provide administrative assistance to senior staff, including proofreading and fact-checking.
- International collaboration: Liaise with experts, curators, and institutions to obtain artwork information and documents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in History of Art.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in the art industry.
- Excellent research and writing skills, with experience in cataloguing and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
