Museum Research Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated Museum Research Analyst to join our team at Halcyon. As a leading modern art programme, we aim to discover and showcase exceptional talent.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting research on artworks, including provenance, attributions, and bibliography. You will also assist in cataloguing, documenting, and updating our database.
Your excellent writing skills will be utilised in creating entries based on your specialist research, as well as working on loan requests and publication projects. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to senior staff and consult with experts, curators, and institutions internationally.
Please note that a BA and MA in History of Art are essential requirements for the role. We cannot consider candidates without these qualifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough research on artworks and their histories
- Compiling bibliographies and attributions
- Assisting in cataloguing and documenting artworks
- Writing entries based on research
- Providing administrative support to senior staff
- Consulting with experts and institutions
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' experience working in the art industry and hold a Master's degree in History of Art. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are also essential.
We offer a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, dependent on experience, and a dynamic work environment. Please note that we do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
