Empower Family Group - Outdoor Education Leader and Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outdoor Education Leader and Support Worker to join our team at Empower Family Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality outdoor education programs to children and young people with additional learning needs and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing team, delivering bespoke outdoor education packages to a range of age groups and needs. You will be responsible for planning and leading outdoor education activities, ensuring the provision of safe, healthy, and stimulating environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver outdoor education programs to children and young people with additional learning needs and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Lead and support the development of outdoor education activities, ensuring the provision of safe, healthy, and stimulating environments.
  • Work closely with schools and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality outdoor education programs.
  • Contribute to the development of new outdoor education programs and initiatives.
  • Provide support and guidance to colleagues and students as needed.
Requirements
  • Driving licence (essential)
  • Right to work in the UK (essential)
  • Experience of working with children and young people with additional learning needs and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties (desirable)
  • Qualifications in outdoor education, youth work, or a related field (desirable)
  • First Aid qualification (desirable)
  • Safeguarding qualification (desirable)
  • Ability to commute to Taunton, TA2 8QN (required)
