About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Adviser to join our client, a leading organisation in their sector, in Edinburgh. This permanent role offers a hybrid working model, combining home and office-based work. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of the Data Protection service, reviewing and developing policies and processes.
  • Provide training and support to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Manage data protection breaches and minimise risk.
  • Review and provide feedback on data protection documents.
  • Coordinate responses to individual rights requests.
  • Develop and review Data Sharing Agreements and Data Processing Agreements.
  • Promote staff engagement and awareness of data protection matters.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain the 'Data Protection Hub' SharePoint site.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • A good general standard of education and/or evidence of continued professional development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, and CRM systems.
  • A formal Data Protection qualification (desirable).
  • A detailed understanding of data protection regulations.
  • Experience providing helpdesk support.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong communication and team working skills.
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
What We Offer
  • An attractive salary ranging from £31,000 to £34,000 per annum.
  • An 8% employer pension contribution.
  • Full-time permanent employment.
  • Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
  • Hybrid working options (2 days in office, 3 from home).
