Job Description

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organization, is seeking an experienced Information Governance Specialist to fill a contract position. The successful candidate will provide specialist advice on data protection and governance, working closely with the Technology Service to develop and deliver the national eRostering data program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert practitioner support to the Technology Service in the development and delivery of the national eRostering data program.
  • Ensure the lawful and secure processing of personal identifiable data in the delivery of the national program.
  • Develop and implement new software/technical solutions that adhere to data protection legislative requirements.
  • Conduct data protection impact assessments and draft associated documentation.
  • Represent the Technology Service within the wider product community, ensuring information governance and data protection are considered in technical solutions.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience working in information governance and data protection legislation.
  • Considerable experience in drafting and conducting data protection impact assessments.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at senior levels and give presentations.
  • Flexible approach to learning and problem-solving.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Extensive knowledge of information governance and data protection, including legislative issues.
  • Understanding of legislative compliance for public sector organizations regarding data protection legislation.
  • Proven expertise in the practical implementation of data protection legislation.
  • Management role with coaching and/or mentoring experience.
  • Ability to meet travel requirements.
  • Degree-level qualification with in-depth experience and postgraduate or post-registration study.
Working Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid environment, with a combination of home and office-based work. The role will require travel to meet the needs of the position.
