This is a full-time post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, including participation in public holiday and extended hours rotas, and on-call commitment.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Working towards a postgraduate qualification or an Independent Prescribing qualification is essential. You must also commit to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with GPhC requirements and complete the Vocational Training Scheme/Foundation Framework or equivalent experience.

As part of our commitment to reducing working hours, NHS Scotland is introducing a 37-hour working week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period until your service area changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
